We are back!!
The 06 team is back on track!! We were able to race this past Saturday night and had a great time. We also were very excited to have special guests in the pits Mary and Maureen. It was both of theirs first trip to Whip City Speedway and we hope to have them back again soon. Mary brought her digital camera and took several great shot that I will be posting to the web site soon. We started on the outside pole for or heat race. Unfortunately the carbs were not running correctly and we were unable to make a fast start when they dropped the green flag. As they dropped the flag we dropped back to 6th place immediately. We finished the heat race in 6th place. Because of our 6th place finish we were forced to start 15th in the feature. The car was fast and set up perfectly for the feature. We were able to finish in 9th place. We were actually running a few positions higher than 9th but when two cars made contact in front of us we checked up and two drivers behind us did not so they were able to pass up easily. Looking forward to racing again this Saturday at Whip City. See you there

Broken Brakes
The mechanical bug still continues to infect the 06 race team. We lost the brakes on the car just prior to the drop of the green flag in our heat race forcing us to withdraw from the heat race prior to the finish. Fortunately the car count was small due the Holiday weekend and we were scheduled to start at the tail end of the feature. So the 06 crew with special guest crew chief Mike Harvey of Tampa Florida reworked the braking system the team felt we were ready of the feature. However just as we were to pull off for the feature the breaks refused to work again!!!! We were unwilling to run the feature without the brakes so we had to pack up and go home. Thanks to the eagle eyes of Brian Broderick we believe we have diagnosed the problem and should be fully ready to run this Saturday at Whip City
