Past news

Do not forget to click on the archives on the left hand side to see the old news and some team photos we have stored there.

ouch!!!!!!!!

Well we suffered out first major contact of the year. First one of the wing brackets broke during the feature giving us an ill handling racecar for the race. This kept us deep in the pack of cars. Then suddenly a car spun directly in front of us. This car then drove down the track from the outside wall toward the inside of the track. I tried to give the spinning car as much room as possible but it was not enough as he made hard contact with our car. The other cars front end was driven into the right rear of our car causing considerable damage. The right side nerf bar was completely snapped off. Additionally both right rear radius rods were bent. We have lost the brakes and can not shift the car. We also lost our airbox filter and outerwear. Like I said heavy damage. In fact the car nearly toppled over the contact was so hard. We have our work cut out as in addition to fixing the broken parts we need to resquare the rear end of the car. That can take some serious time
New parts are being shipped in from Scottsville NY to the race shop and we plan on burning that midnight oil until everything is ready to go for this Saturday. Have a great 4th and see you at the track.

9th place on the 19th

We were able to finish in 9th place this weekend at Whip City Speedway. The car handled excellent we were able to turn some of our fastest laps of the year. We will once again be returning to Whip City Speedway on the 26th of June and hope to continue to improve. See you at the track.

June 12 Results

We had a decent run this week at Whip City Speedway. We qualified well in our heat race but were forced to start fourteenth for the feature due to missing all the races on the 5th of June (See prior posting). Whip City counts a “no show” as a feature win for handicapping purposes. The car handled great all night long and the motor ran strong. We raced clean and were able to finish in 10th place. We were happy with this finish but hope to improve and crack into the top five sometime this summer. Keep checking back for more info. See you at the track.

OOOPS!!!

Well I made a major mistake this weekend. I packed up the truck, loaded up my racing gear and even had the car on the trailer. The mistake was in not taking it all to the track. The forecast called for rain all day, the sky was covered in clouds, and radar said rain was on the way so I decided to put everything back in the shop. Well of course it never rained!!! Whip City was able to get the whole show in and I missed it. Frustrating. Well a special thanks to the crew for hanging by the phone all day Saturday and for not killing me on Sunday.
Well of the races this Saturday (AND EVERY SATURDAY FROM NOW ON)

Racing Neighbors

We found out we have racing neighbors. The Pravia family of racers live just down the street from our racing shop in Suffield, Ct. As it turns out we have shared many a common path throughout the years. From racing at “The Valley” together in the late 80's and early 90's, to living in Suffield, Ct (even on the same street), to sharing our friend Jen. We look forward to seeing them at Whip City this summer and wish their entire team good luck for the racing season.

Having fun at Whip City Speedway

We had a great weekend of racing at Whip City Speedway over the Memorial Day holiday. The team has finally been able to get a handle on the mechanical gremlins that have troubled us over the last few races. We managed a fifth place finish in our qualifying race. However, since we are a rookie team we were forced to start the feature from the back. We took the green for the feature in last place but by the time the checkers flew we were running in seventh place!!! This run moved us into fourteenth place in the season point standing. The weather looks great for this weekend June 5th and we hope to have another smooth run. See you at the track.
